  this has been working for me well in talking with family and friends about "the truth.".

  1. before you bring up a topic, talk about how we are allowed to ask questions, and we are encouraged to do so.

  i have tried saying, "one thing i like about the organization is that it encourages us to use our minds, and we don't get into trouble for asking questions, the organization loves questions like the ancient bereans did.. 2. always phrase things in the form of a question.

  I just came from my elder's meeting

  just to review, i had my meeting today with the two elders who say a sister has accused me of "grinding" with her and thus porneia.

  so i printed out several of your comments on how to defend myself.

  i felt good about standing my ground, and repeating that i had not "grinded" with this ex-friend and that she wants to ruin the relationship i have now with the sister i am dating.. however, the two elders today really tried to pressure me.

  Deny everything. I grinded with many pioneers prior to marriage, but they never turned me in. My wife was the only one that turned me in. The elder that she told wanted to date her, so he told my elders an embellished lie.

  I simply grinded at the beach with my future wife. I was accused of fingering her and attempting to rape her. She was a pioneer with a guilty conscience. I had avoided her phone calls for two weeks, so she told the elders.

  Oh well.

  Give pieces of the truth. It is her word against yours. Don't let the guilt trip bother you.

  I have no anger or resentment toward the org. I faded away and I am happy. I am still friends with many. I see no need too loose class because I disagree with an organization.

  I do not feel like a loser that needs to get even (no offense to anyone)

  after losing the wimbledon championship to her sister venus, serena williams was being interviewed on the court yesterday, and here is part of what she said: "i thank my god jehovah for being out here".. okay, so according to her words, jehovah blessed her by allowing her to be there to participate in a competitive sports championship match.

  Umm yeah, for a DUDE!

  Everyone has their taste..some men like the 14 YO boyish look of some tennis players, others perfer a more define sensual look. The diversity of Ann Mauresmo to the player that is used by Canon (can't remember the name at 0200 in the morning) is incredible. I personally would prefer Serena over anyone on the circuit today. Again, personal preference. IMO, she does NOT look like a man. Breast, thighs and no crows feet.

  Is Serena baptized?

  The organization usually, most probably have never said that sports are a DF offense. They will usually, most probably say they take time away from the preaching work..and since we are so close to the end.......a mature christian............yada, yada, yada.............

  If they change the position, they will say.....................we never said you could not play sports..........

  How Long Did It Take You to Realize It Wasn't "The Truth"?

  i see some posters still aren't 100% sure that the jehovah's witness religion might not be "the truth"....was there a moment when things became very clear for you regarding this religion?.

  do you still think, maybe----jws aren't all that bad??

  IMO, all religions are the same. They are man's attempt to explain God.

  I felt the J-dubs were not the truth after I read the 1995 WT on the generation change. The entire religion was based on this truth and 1914, and it changed.

  The ruth NEVER changes. Also, I was trated badly on a trip to bethel and I saw the light.

  i asked my brother why my (now deceased) father never associated with many witnesses.

  he said that many (j-dubs) were phonies,.....two-faced even according to my dad.. did you ever notices witnesses to be phony, or fake friends?

  did you ever notice someone be nice to someone then bad mouth that person to you directly?.

  I came to find out that my bible study conductor did this to me and many other through the years. Very dissapointing. He is now a CO which is even more frieghting.
